Week 26: Happy Freedom Day!

Hey everybody:) Happy fourth of July!!! Today we had a zone pday bbq with just a bunch of games and american bbq food and it was a blast:)

One of the best fourth of July's ever and also today marks one year until the end of my mission! Which is absolutely crazy to realize.

This week our ami was confirmed and it was beautiful, she cried during the blessing after the confirmation and it was great:)

We also had our zone training which was so much fun! We went to Bordeaux and we learned about how to help the members work on the inter regional European plan set out by the leaders of the church for western Europe. It is all about inviting friends to do things into the church, being self-reliant, and finding ancestors:)

It is great and I am super excited to start working with the branch here in Poitiers:)

It was kind of funny because they had a little revelation that Ohhhhh the ward does the work on the plan and the missionaries are there to help, not the other way around, which is an amazing start, because they didn't fully understand that this plan is for them and not us, we are just there to help which will be good to start getting going:)

every experience we have with it we are calling a feux de joie which is literally translated a joyfire which is so sweet:) It means bonfire but either way we are going to be lighting up the south of France:)

At the zone training we played a really fun game with water balloons and towels, working in teams to toss the water balloons to each other without letting them fall but sometimes if they got caught in the towel they shattered anyways and we would get super duper wet haha it was so fun and at the end we all got to shoot at the hoop and me and sister Takotua made it which was exciting!:)

The rest of this week we didn't have too much success finding anyone but we got to eat dinner with a less active, part member family which was super fun:) And we also found handmade African dresses in a market which was super neat and I will pick my black and orange one up on wednesday since I'm too short and needed to get it hemmed x)

This upcoming week will be crazy but fun:) Love you all, have a great fourth of July!
