Week 13: 13 Weeks Since I Left Home

The numbers are getting so big and it is ridiculously hard to try to remember how long it has been since life was normal haha because missionaries do not live normal lives! Not a bad thing but definitely not what normal people do :)

This week absolutely flew by! The biggest news this week other than the wonderful conference was - I AM TRAINING!!! I am now the youngest trainer in the mission and just terrified!

I am co-training though so it is not as bad, but there will be times when it will be just me and
the bleu because my companion is a STL (sister traiing leader).

Our bleu is Sister Cochain and she is visa waiting in our mission to go the States :) We  are so excited to have her and can't wait, I just want her to feel like she really is a part of our mission because she isn't where she thought she'd be. But I made her planner, and her desk and bed is ready.

I am now sleeping on three mattresses because it was either change rooms or bring in mattresses) and now we just need to get her here! :)

This week we went to Souer S who lives about two hours away by bus - because we still can't take the metros, and she is out of our area -  but a member in our ward who is house-ridden because of a few cancers and other medical issues - and she made us the best French dinner ever!

And then we went from her house to the L's where we colored and played animal games with them in English which is seriously the best thing ever!!

This week we also went to N's where we helped her start building a closet and she made us an amazing homemade organic meal which was wonderful and we taught her about prophets and apostles for conference which went so well and it was great!!

Conference was amazing and I loved all the talks, I still need to watch the Sunday Afternoon session, because in France, being so far away we don't get to watch it live but we will find time.

Today we walked up to Fourviere with the Lyon and Chinese missionaries - because we couldn't take the funiculare because we would have to go into the metro station to get to it, but it was worth the walk up the giant hill!

I hope you all had a great week!
